With its drives configured as a RAID 0 striped set, a single Fusion D500P achieves 240MB/sec, fast enough to support multiple streams of DV, HDV, DVCPRO, or uncompressed 8-bit 1080i HD video. Safe and Secure
Fusion storage systems (except 0 TB models) employ Enterprise/RAID Edition hard drives(2), which are subjected to hours of additional testing to check for soft errors, vibration, and other reliability predictors just the sturdiest drives pass these tests. Three Connections
Fusion F2 features two 3 Gb/sec eSATA data ports. By connecting via a direct SATA II interface with no bridge chip between the F2’s case and SATA II drives, there is no resulting communication slowdown, just the fastest data transfers possible. Fusion F2 uses a novel method to power itself; it draws power from your notebook’s FireWire 400 port. Instead of relying on a bulky external power supply that may not work everywhere you go, Fusion F2 uses an included FireWire-to-power cable.
